Christine, as always, thank you for your kind note. Honestly, as I am sure many others also feel, it feels a little strange and out of place to write about travel at a time when our world is going through such intense turmoil. So I hesitated a lot about posting this month's letter, but now I find comfort in your comment. Thank you.
I love 温泉. This is a wonderful, well written article. I’m coming back to Kyoto this summer, where not many onsen but there are many Sentou, bath houses.
I hope at some point you'll come visit some of the onsens here in Chugoku. Perhaps Yunotsu Onsen (温泉津温泉) which is, I think, unique in having onsen twice in the name, just pronounced differently to confuse the unwary (and American technology companies)
Reading your writing is comfort food for my soul.

Such beautiful words and photos. Makes me want to go back to Japan asap!
Thank you, Candace!
Have you ever been to Hoshi Onsen? It's our favourite
That is such a timely comment! I have not yet been there but booked to go in April with a friend. I am now even more excited!
You’ll love it. Let us know what you think
I will!
Your photos are always so excellent!
Thank you, Scott!

I will look it up right away, and thank you for adding one more option for the readers.
